Review ★ Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Lasting Lipstick

Hi!

I was actually going to post this before the holidays, but opted for posting other posts instead LOL. Although the berry/red lip was a staple for the holiday period, it can still be worn anytime. The plums and berry trend is great for that edgy, yet feminine touch. 

I was on the fence about buying this because darker colours are more high maintenance than lighter colours. It feels like a lot more effort to get the perfect shape, whereas lighter colours are a lot more forgiving. But I went for it anyways, and I definitely don't regret it! I actually even bought the 4 mini set with 3 other colours because I didn't really want to buy the full-sized versions of the other ones LOL. I probably could have returned this, since this one is in the mini set; but I feel bad returning used makeup :c.

Review ★ Bornprettystore [sponsored]

Hello everyone, it's been awhile!

I haven't posted anything in like a month and a half, but school and personal stuff got in the way of taking photos and writing anything. After all, November and December are the months of torture for most students. But at least I can say I survived final project due dates and finals!

Due to the lack of branding, there isn't a high mark-up on the products which means that the prices aren't inflated. Their goods are very inexpensive and awesome for those looking for new things to try, or are on a budget. Bornprettystore has a variety of beauty products ranging from makeup to nail products.

They also stock other miscellaneous items such as towel holders, phone screen protectors, etc. You're bound to find something at a really affordable price. On top of that, they offer free shipping which is a huge plus for many, because shipping prices can get ridiculous.

Review ★ Aritaum Honey Melting Tint // GIVEAWAY WINNER ANNOUNCED

Hello lovelies!

School started today, but I'll try to push out some reviews on requested products before it gets busy ^^~

I've been looking forward to reviewing the Aritaum Honey Melting Tints for the longest time, but I decided to hold off until I received my package from Jolse (which was a few weeks ago), since I ordered another 3 on top of the ones I purchased from Beautynetkorea. These lip tints have been all the rage, especially throughout this summer because of their trendy, vibrant colours!

I got a bunch of them because I'm a fiend when it comes to lip products, especially ones that are remotely similar to tinted lip balms c:.

There's a fair amount of colours available, but I got the following colours:

Review ★ Etude House Etoinette Crystal Shine Lipsticks

Hello~

Long time no post @_@. School ended around a month ago, but I've had a lot of person problems within the past month. Anyways, things are a little better now, so I'm back with a review! Today I will be reviewing the newer Etude House Etoinette Crystal Shine lipsticks, more specifically PPK005 (Precious Etoinette Peony) and PBE102 (Moon Flower Under the Stars). Aren't the names pretty? * u * The previous Etoinette lipsticks had pink packaging, where as the second releases have white packaging.

Review ★ Innisfree Juicy Gloss Pencils

I feel like I'm really slow with putting out reviews LOL, but I finally have a review to share :D. I will be reviewing the Innisfree Juicy Gloss Pencils, which sparked my June haul because colour changing things fascinate me * A*.

Description
Lip pencils that contains moisture that melts softly on your lips. They contain vitamin E which helps keep your lips healthy, as well as camellia flower oil to keep your lips hydrated.

I got 4 out of 5 of them.
★ #1 Tropical Lemon
★ #2 Cheongpodo Aid (green grape)
★ #4 Grapefruit Puree
★ #5 Cherry Soda

It also comes in #3 Strawberry Sorbet

I didn't purchase Strawberry Sorbet because the swatch in the item information in the listing looked like a slightly cooler version of the Green Grape (baby pink).

They didn't come in any additional packaging with product information, so I don't know what additional ingredients are in it. There was a sticker on the lid so you know someone didn't tamper with it. The cap is decorated with a cute fruit print that just screams summer!

You have to twist the bottom to get more product, just like a lipstick or a lip crayon. The manufacture date can also be found at the bottom.

The glossy pencils function like a tinted lip balm/crayon, and they have a similar texture. They leave your lips looking healthy and moisturized. The finish isn't sticky even though it leaves your lips with a light shine, so that's a plus too :D.

Tropical Lemon and Green Grape are really sheer, so I was a little disappointed with them. Tropical Lemon is a warmer shade of pink than Green Grape. But you can't really tell once it's applied (as seen in my lip swatches OTL), so you're better off buying one or the other if you're interested in them, since the only key difference is the scent. Those two are comparable to a lip balm, rather than a lip stick/crayon. Tropical Lemon and Green Grape is good for those looking for a low key lip colour, instead of a solid colour. They give a sheer hint of pink to your lips without it looking like you're wearing a lip colour. I think they smell the best out of all the ones I purchased * u *.

On the other hand, Cherry Soda and Grapefruit Purée do not disappoint, because they are pigmented and true to colour. It only takes one swipe for a solid colour! I don't have many orange lip products, so Grapefruit Puree is a good addition to my collection :D. Strawberry Sorbet is like Cherry Soda and Grapefruit Purée in terms of pigmentation, since it doesn't have to oxidize into a colour like the colour changing ones. So I kind of wish I purchased that instead of Tropical Lemon or Green Grape.

They last for a few hours before drying out. Cherry Soda tends to leave a tint after drying out completely. I like to use that one for the gradient lips since I feel that Benetint can be a tad drying >__<.

+ True to colour (except for Tropical Lemon and Green Grape)
+ Scent matches their names. The scent of Cherry Soda might be too artificial for some though.

Would I re-purchase? No. They're not a holy grail product, but overall, the juicy gloss sticks are a good product, with cute packaging to boot! They're inexpensive, so you should definitely try them out if you're looking for a lip crayon, or a new lip product to try out!

Review ★ Innisfree Creamy Tint Lipstick

Today I will be reviewing the Innisfree creamy tint lipsticks :D. I decided against buying my typical colours (baby pinks, nude colours, etc.), and went for some bolder colours instead.

Description
A highly pigmented, long-lasting moisture lipstick that delivers rich colour in a stroke (taken from the lipstick casing). It contains camellia oil and safflower oil to keep your lips hydrated and soft. It does not contain any animal products, talc, or benzophenone. I'm not sure what the other ingredients are since the box is in hangul, and the item description doesn't include the ingredients.

The packaging is made of recycled paper, and the information is printed with soy ink, so the packaging is eco friendly ^^.

The lipstick smells like candy, kind of like those candy necklaces LOL. It smells so good! Kudos to Innisfree for giving it a nice scent instead of the typical lipstick scent.

I used Kiehl's lip balm (free with my purchase ftw) under each swatch so they all have a shiny finish. Vaseline would also yield the same results ^^.

Flower Buds Pink and Cocktail Orange are really pigmented and true to the colour on the bottom of the case. Raspberry Red appears lighter than its bullet colour, and is more comparable to a mauve pink. Perhaps it's the lip balm that lightens up the colour, but I think it makes it a lot more wearable for the summer months. It only takes one application to get a good amount of colour on your lips. They leave a stain after fading out, so you will need to use a make-up remover to remove it completely.

Tips for using it:

1. Dot the colour on your lips, and blend it out with your finger or a lip brush if you want a more sheer colour
2. Apply a lip liner first for a more precise shape, and then fill it in with the lipstick
3. Mix it with a neutral shade to tone it down
4. Apply it in the inner part of your lips, on top of a nude colour to create the gradient effect
5. Apply lip gloss or something with petroleum jelly in it to give your lips more dimension
6. Mix it with a foundation/tinted moisturizer/BB or CC cream/etc. so you can use as a wearable blush (taken from the Innisfree website's diagram). 

Here is the link to the creamy tint lipstick page on the Innisfree website so you can browse through their reviews and find swatches, since I couldn't find reviews/swatches for many of the less popular choices (it's around the bottom of the page, they have leaves for their ratings). There are quite a number of reviews where the blogger shows multiple swatches of each colour. Although they're true to colour, it's definitely helpful to see complete swatches of the lipsticks.

Innisfree also has lip tints (Innisfree Vivid Tint Rouge) with the same/similar colours~

Review ★ Lioele l'cret miracle magic lipsticks

Here's the first instalment of reviews from my Korean cosmetics haul ^^!

Lioele L'cret Miracle Magic Lipstick is a hypoallergenic, long-lasting, waterproof mood lipstick with SPF14. The lipstick is paraben-free, lasts for at least 12 hours, is non-transferable, and kiss-proof.

The product contains natural oils/oil complexes (castor seed oil, orange oil, lavender oil, rosa canina flower oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil, coconut oil, and seabuckthorn oil). to protect your lips, keep them moisturized and smooth, and maintain their elasticity. These lipsticks act as a lip balm, lip stick, lip treatment, lip tint, and UV protectant. They are also supposed to change colour based on your individual mood and pH levels.

The lipsticks either comes in a circular diamond or square package. The diamond packaging is the one that is mostly advertised on the information provided on most websites, although they do show the square one a few times.

Elegant Purple has a strong flowery scent, which resembles hand soap, Fresh Orange has a more muted flowery scent, and Lush Green smells citrusy. The green one is definitely my favourite, because I'm a fan of fruity scents, and it's a nice colour. I wasn't really expecting anything spectacular, since lipstick quality is sort of generic (except for the higher end ones like YSL); but, I was pretty blown away by how pigmented and shiny it was after a few swipes.

I was hoping that Elegant Purple would be more of a baby pink, rather than a cooler version of the Lush Green.

A lot of brands advertise that their lipsticks stay on for 12 hours, but that usually isn't the case. I wouldn't say that's the case for these ones either LOL; but the colour does last for around 4-6 hours due to the staining effect. The shininess does fade with eating and/or drinking, just like any other lipstick. Or when your skin absorbs the oils from the lipstick after a few hours. These lipsticks don't require many applications throughout the day either!

I've read some reviews prior to purchasing them, because it's important to know whether it's a good product before spending money on it aha. From what I gathered for the ones I did not purchase: the Sexy Red is more cool-toned & fuchsia like its bullet colour, and the Refreshing/Neat Yellow isn't as pigmented as the others (noted on the comparison chart above). I don't think the other ones have any problems with them ^^. The red, green, and purple ones are the most popular ones.

Lastly, you will have to use a good make-up remover to get rid of the stain.

- Price variation. On some websites it's ~$18-20 (suggested retail price), and on others it's $10-12. I don't know, there isn't anything wrong with the cheaper ones though.
- Elegant Purple's scent is a tad strong for my liking.
