Review ★ Aritaum Honey Melting Tint // GIVEAWAY WINNER ANNOUNCED

Hello lovelies!

School started today, but I'll try to push out some reviews on requested products before it gets busy ^^~

I've been looking forward to reviewing the Aritaum Honey Melting Tints for the longest time, but I decided to hold off until I received my package from Jolse (which was a few weeks ago), since I ordered another 3 on top of the ones I purchased from Beautynetkorea. These lip tints have been all the rage, especially throughout this summer because of their trendy, vibrant colours!

I got a bunch of them because I'm a fiend when it comes to lip products, especially ones that are remotely similar to tinted lip balms c:.

There's a fair amount of colours available, but I got the following colours:
★ Peach Crumble
★ Strawberry Chips
★ Sugar Syrup
★ Pink Lemonade
★ Apple Tart
★ Lady Dessert

Pink Lemonade and Lady Dessert are from their summer collection, whereas the rest are from their normal collection. As usual, please continue under the cut for the rest of my review ^^!

★ Honey melting formula melts onto lips like a lip balm.
★ Collagen barrier formed on lips prevents smudging. Collagen prevents smudging around the edge of the lips.
★ Natural tint gives long-lasting pigmentation. Natural floral ingredients are used for the pigmentation, which makes for long-lasting, vivid lips.

As you can see, there are plenty of colours available! However, most of them are very bright and vivid colours, which are rather popular in Korea. Although the colours are very vibrant, they can be used lightly for a sheer wash of colour.

The tints don't come in any additional packaging, but there's a sticker on the lid to ensure that it hasn't been opened or tampered with. The packaging itself is really simple; there isn't anything fancy or special about it. You can get an idea of the colour you're receiving just by looking at the lid, since the lid matches the bullet quite well!

The names of the individual tints on the bottom are in Hangul, and they pretty much sound like the English names which are on the lid. I did my best arranging the colours from warm to cool aha~

All the swatches on my arm were done with one swipe (same order as the above photo), so you can get an idea of how pigmented they are. The highlight of these tints is their crazy pigmentation and glossiness! I didn't really expect them to be that pigmented when I swatched them on my arm, and on my lips; but they're really good for those who love bold lips. For those who don't like sporting bright colours- you can light-handedly dab it on your lips to create a more sheer, wearable look. Or you can use the darker colours for a gradient effect!

Also these tints smell amazing! They have a very sweet scent which matches the overall theme of desserts or sweet things. They are not scented according to their names, but still nice nonetheless~ However, Lady Dessert has a floral scent that is very reminiscent of the Étude House Etoinette Crystal Shine Lipsticks that I reviewed a few months ago. I'm not a fan of floral scents on lip products because I feel like I can 'taste' the scent, if you get what I mean (similar to when someone sprays a lot of perfume in a store, and you walk through it). The rest of the ones I have get an A+ in terms of scent though!

They look a little lighter in these photos due to the lighting, since it was really dark out >_<
I feel like it applies very thinly, but you can still feel the product on your lips due to its slight tackiness. Continuing on the topic of tackiness- you should exfoliate and/or apply lip balm before applying this. Although it feels moisturizing, it does not apply smoothly on dry lips, and you'll be pulling on the skin slightly as you apply it. Exfoliating and applying lip balm creates a smooth canvas for you to apply the tint~ Although I haven't really had an issue really dry or chapped lips, I've read reviews stating that it accentuates the flakiness of chapped lips.

As for lasting power, I would say the glossiness lasts around 3 hours before it starts to fade into a nice tint. However like most pigmented lip products, it doesn't survive the intake of food or drinks very well, and it transfers onto glass/cups/etc. Nonetheless, it still fades nicely through wear throughout the day, and eating/drinking.

You might be wondering what the differences between some of these colours are, since a few of them are very similar. Lady Dessert and Peach Crumble are practically the same shade of coral, but Lady Dessert is a smidgen darker than Peach Crumble. Pink Lemonade is darker and more cool toned than Strawberry Chips. And Sugar Syrup is like the intermediary between Peach Crumble and Strawberry Chips- it isn't too warm, or too cold.

I'm not one for bold colours, nor do I think I can pull them off very well. So I tend to use the darker colours for the gradient lips look, rather than fully applying them. Sugar Syrup and Strawberry Chips are probably my favourite ones out of the six that I've purchased, since I think pink and nudy colours work well on me~

Overall, I think the quality is great for the price, especially considering the pigmentation and scent. They're around drugstore price, so you don't have to worry too much about breaking the bank for another high quality lip product. I think the range of the colours is quite good relative to other brands which only create 5 or so shades, and they have versatility. I suppose the only problems with it is that it clings onto dry/flaky areas. Also, you should avoid subjecting it to heat over time (ie. long day outside, leaving it in your car, etc.) because it will melt!

I bought Strawberry Chips, Peach Crumble, and Sugar Syrup from Beautynetkorea for $9.89USD, and the rest from Jolse for $10.48USD (purchased while they were having their 15% off sale).

You can also purchase them from Koreadepart ($7.80), W2beauty ($12.50), Twofacemall ($9.75), and Gmarket ($5.89).

Also, I have already chosen the winner for my back to school giveaway! Congratulations Priscilla~ Thank you to everyone who participated in it! I will probably hold another giveaway closer to the holiday season ^^!
